WHY IS IT SO...?

Hi!!! I’m very upset today coz, I was longing to write an article about “people who restrict themselves and their feelings” (its true ppl....). But a similar article was written by someone else in today’s paper. Then I thought of writing it as a post.

Now to start with a question. I have heard many of my friends saying or I should say, really, jest at me (frankly speaking) for watching cartoons and stuffs like that...Is it a prescript or something? That you are not supposed to watch cartoons above certain age. This may sound really silly. But why do they conceal themselves? Living every second for what others might think and say about them. You may think what this title has to do with concealing one self. Actually its lot more associated than you expect.

I have a lot of “Why is it so..?” questions on my list. And here are some...

* You should not watch cartoons after age of 15 or 16:

Why is it so..? I still watch cartoons and I just love them. I think it’s much better than watching these typical sentimental Tamil movies (Hindi movies as well to some extent) with zero percent reality. There are those unbelievable fight scenes where hero is able to kick 20 men off with his leg and those twin tragedies and hero-heroine romance....So, It’s sure that you will really feel relaxed watching and laughing at these lovely cute cartoons.... It’s truly odd to hate or avoid liking those characters of the fairy tale world...

* Once you enter into college, you should like only actors like Madhavan, Surya... (Those who are handsome, fair in complexion...Simple):

But why is it so..? Why you should like only handsome romantic heroes and not any action heroes. Everyone in my class like Madhavan or Surya. And they used to give me a “What an alien?” look when I just deny them. Even their films are worse, they never give up. They just fall for them totally... It’s really hard to kick a habit and they will never change.

* Spend most of the time with your mobile.

Why is it so? All the time sending messages and chatting. No wonder the colleges banned mobile inside campus... And I didn’t get it yet... I just hate messaging. Waiting for hours, for the other end to reply. I prefer calling someone to sending messages and waiting for reply. One of my friends, she used to change her battery once in a month. What can I say? There is no point in moralizing about them. They can't be changed.

And so the list goes on... UNCERTAINITY is the only certain thing... Hoping for them to change...

Hi Samiha... Nice post... but just wanna tell you how I see those things.. Cartoons... there are many people who still enjoy cartoons. If somebody doesnt want to watch... its upto them. May be they are not really intrested to watch cartoons.. intrests varies right!!.. Liking Madhavan/Surya... I think they just like it.. I dont think they are like... ok now we should like madhavan and Surya and then like... there is defenietly something in them (Madhavan/surya or any hero) for people to like. Lastly u wrote... hoping for them to change... I got a question 'why should they change?!!!'... until unless anyone is happy with wht they are doing and if they are not hurting anyone else, they dont have to change anything I feel... Every one cant be same as you... It is better to accept for wht they are of with a smile and forget it :)
These are just my opinions...
